Sizzling Racing at the SSS Rd3

Round 3 saw Sam Volkers providing the crowd with some spectacular racing in what was surely the ride of the day at the final round of the 2016 Sizzling Summer Series in Crestmead, Qld. In the A Grade men’s race, Sam was able to lap the majority of the A Grade field and then ride away solo from the breakaway group leaving them to chase him for the remainder of the race. He was heading towards lapping the rest of the field as the race drew to a close. It was a super effort. Looking at his Strava account, it would appear that he has been couch surfing for a month, but I think there may have been some secret training going on. Well done Sam.

Phairo was there as well for the final round of the Sizzling Summer Series at Creatmead, Logan. Although there were not many trade stalls there at the series. Logan Cycling Club would like to build an expo atmosphere at future SSS events. There is always a decent crowd and the fans are connected to cycling. It has the potential to provide a good expo atmosphere and bring the products to the spectators who are there with family and friends enjoying the day. Phairo would like to thank LCC for the opportunity to have its stall there and get the brand name out. Phairo is a new Australian made product and getting the Phairo name out there will take some time. It certainly helps to have good Clubs like Logan Cycling Club to give their generous support.SSS Rd3 Fixedgear Photography1

Lucky Flyer

The Lucky Flyer winner from the Rd1 was Scott Holmes. He was presented with his Phairo yesterday and by the way Scott was smiling, we think he was pretty happy to win and get a chance to test out the new Phairo Headwear. Scott was one of the volunteers at the SSS and just happened to get the lucky number on his flyer. Congratulations Scott Holmes.

If you have a Phairo Flyer with a number on the bottom left hand corner, don’t throw it away. That number will be re-entered into every Lucky Flyer draw we have throughout 2016. You will need to check back periodically to see if you have won. You will find the lucky numbers in the Events Blog with the heading “[Event Heading] and Lucky Flyer”.

The Lucky Flyer winning number for this event (including all flyer numbers given out at any event this year) is………....197

If that is your number, email to info@phairo.com.au and you will receive further instructions to claim your Phairo.

See you at the ANZAC 25!
