Hot Racing at the Sizzling Summer Series Rd2

The Racing is heating up at the Sizzling Summer Series at Crestmead in Logan City, Qld as the second round was held yesterday. In Round 1 it was the women showing how it’s done, but this round had both the men and the women showing off their power and racing prowess. There were a few crashes on the day and we never like to see that, but the paramedics and Ambos were there and assisted quickly. The rain held off and a good days racing was enjoyed by racers and spectators.

Phairo was there again and, as the weather remains hot, there were more than some of the racers reaching for their Phairos to leave the sweat behind. Kim from BBQ2You was sporting a Sublimated Black Phairo to help him get through the heat of the day.  Lynn and Kim do the best burgers I have had for a very long time.

We sold a few Phairos on the day and as people realise that Phairos are not just for on the bike, they become a bit more interested. We’ve tested them out in many places such as golf, running, swimming, cooking, sleeping (Chemo Patients), gardening, digging, walking, hiking, boogie boarding, snorkling, zumba, and just sitting around where you just can’t get out of the sun like outdoor concerts, picnics and sporting events. You name it, we’ve probably had someone test it there.

We also have Phairo Tugs for your dog which are made from the off-cuts. It’s a robust fabric platted and knotted up which washes easily and is supple enough for the doggies to mouth comfortably. They make a nice flapping sound as the dogs ‘kill’ them repeatedly (without the squeaker or bell to annoy the neighbours).

We’ll be there again at SSS Round 3, so if you happen to be there, drop in and say hello to Dean and Steph.

If you already have your Phairo, don’t forget to post a photo on Facebook and tag Phairo Headwear for your chance to win another in the Phairos of the World competition.

Thanks again to Logan Cycling Club and all the volunteers who gave up their time to help out and make this such a good event.
